Why We Started
After years in the automotive industry, we noticed a shift: profit began to outweigh integrity. The old-school way of building genuine relationships with customers started to fade. We decided to change that.

Steven Hewitt
Steven grew up in North Carolina, spending countless hours in his grandfather's shop -- unknowingly developing a lifelong passion for turning wrenches and solving automotive problems. Known for being trustworthy, straightforward, and always willing to help, Steven has become the go-to guy when someone has a car issue. With over 20 years of hands-on experience in the industry, he brings a wealth of knowledge and dedication to every job.
Chris Baxley
Born and raised in Florida, Chris has lived in the Parrish/Bradenton area for the past 15 years. With 10+ years of mechanical experience and an additional decade as a service advisor, he understands both the technical and customer service sides of the industry. As a family man, he knows the burden that comes with unexpected vehicle repairs -- and he's passionate about providing affordable and honest solutions for the community he calls home.
Tyler Baxley
Also a Florida native from the Brandon/Plant City area, Tyler started working on vehicles at the age of 16. He quickly realized his natural skill in the trades and by 19, he was fully immersed in the shop life -- mastering everything from using tire machines to advanced diagnostics, cooling systems, and A/C repairs. Tyler's attention to detail and drive for perfection set him apart.

Customer-Supplied Parts & Fluids Policy
At Community Automotive Repair LLC, we take pride in standing behind our work with quality service and warranty coverage. For that reason, we normally do not install customer-supplied parts or fluids.
Why We Have This Policy
Quality Assurance – We source parts and fluids from trusted suppliers to ensure they meet manufacturer standards.
Warranty Protection – Our warranty covers repairs when we supply the parts/fluids. Customer-supplied items cannot be guaranteed, which limits our ability to back the repair.
Efficiency – Having the right parts on hand avoids delays, incorrect fitment, or rework.
Exceptions
On a RARE case-by-case basis, we may agree to use customer-supplied items. In these situations:
- No warranty is provided on the customer-supplied part/fluid.
- Any additional labor required due to fitment or quality issues will be billed separately.
